The Coming November Election

The Coming November Election

I assume we are all paying attention to the Candidates running for President in our November election.  I can't help but wonder if we have ever had an opportunity to pick who would run our country.  It appears to me as if the Party leaders spend months filling our heads with crap and filling our emails with beg letters trying to get us to send them money.  How do we wade through all the lies misinformation, and disinformation and come up with the facts.

First and foremost, the politicians given to us to chose from are financially supported by Mega Money Corporations.  Then of course there are the millionaires, billionaires, and the really wealthy groups that finance the efforts of the party's wannabe candidates.

I can't help but wonder how I am suppose to glean the truth out of all the candidates self supporting rhetoric.  And then there is the finger pointing and shaming that has or has no factual content.

Can we please take the money out of politics?  I do not want the richest or the friends of the richest running this country.  They, in no small way, represent my needs or my interests and I can not in truth relate to them as having my best interests at heart.

Lets try this.  We should not give any politician 100% retirement after filling a post for a short period of time.  Give them the same as the rest of us. SOCIAL SECURITY!  And after leaving office let them qualify for Medicare just like the rest of us.  Serving our country in a Political Office is suppose to be a privilege not a Right to Wealth.

Fast walking, smooth talking, good old boys (and girls) are not what it takes to run this country. Dedicated men and women with a desire to do the right thing, at the right time, for the right reason could make a difference.

The Journey

The Journey

There has been a lot of discussion regarding Space Travel.  At speeds we are currently able to travel it would take generations of travelers living a multitude of lifetimes to travel to the nearest Star System with a sun and an earth like planet we could colonize.  One of the latest theories in space travel involves creating a warp drive like in Star Trek. This would entail using a power source that would be capable of develop enough energy to establish a bubble that could isolate a ship from the rest of the universe and recognizing the origin and the destination of a journey making a very quick trip possible. Are you as confused as I am?

Other theorists have entertained the wormhole idea.  I like this idea simply because it invites a new math.  In order to travel from point A to point B in a wormhole you must establish a transmitter/receiver like anchor at both ends of the wormhole in order to stabilize it and keep it open.   If we could make small leaps through worm holes for a number of distances, maybe we could eventually find another Earth like planet.  Of course this would require different and equally challenging develpments.  So we just need to keep learning new ways to think and operate. This is a good thing because eventually one person’s idea will lead to someone else getting a new idea and so on.  If we all continue to share ideas eventually we will find the answers we'er looking for.

I am fascinated by all of this.  I also find the intellectual growth of our species to be a real puzzle. With all the thought and technology to help us out, why aren’t we able to expand the amount of our brain we use?  We have all this potential in our heads but we only use a small part of it.
I have to wonder if the ways we choose to teach our children limits their potential for learning.  And our children are the most important thing in our lives, yet we allow them to be slaughtered generation after generation to feed the hunger for power and wealth.  As long as this is the case how can we develop as a species?  I have thought about the need to embrace the differences of our fellow human beings rather than to allow them to separate us and pit us against each other.

There must be a singular creative force in the universe. But I think it is a collective formula of energy and mater, when brought together over a period of time, gives opportunity for the beginning of life.  Life can grow on this physical level to unimaginable levels.  But the opportunities to become self-aware are not so plentiful.

Understanding the size of the universe and the probable number of class M planets like Earth I know there are millions of self-aware lives out in our universe. © Copyright Charles Hawkins 2013

Among the thousands upon thousands of intelligent life forms in our universe there has to be a few thousand that are a millennia ahead of us in development. What if their learning process is uninhibited?  What if they have a universal respect and affection for each other?  It kind of makes you wonder where we went wrong.  It has been suggested that during our early years of development we were interfered.  This could account for some of our conflicting emotional anomalies. And what if we viewed these interlopers as GODS. What if, in an effort to control our development we were given foundations that would direct us to worship them and war against each other?  If it were the case, this would explain why every religion claims their way is the only way.  Maybe these visitors were in a conflict with each other.  In any case faith needs no proof.  So faith must be self-fulfilling.  It ultimately makes me want to ask the question.  When the GODS eventually return, and they will, will we be taken into their fold or will we be subjugated to slavery and abuse?  I don’t know. But I do know this. They will be back.

The Circle of Life

The Circle of Life

In life I observe and respect all things.  I worship no one and I observe the needs of the many.  The Universe put me here, and out there into it I will return.

On this journey I have learned to share the hopes of others.  In kindness and respect I am there.  In this life we learn to share.  Growth is in the giving.
The more you give to those who need it, the less is lost.

In my circle of life there have been many journeys never on the same path.  I hear what is there and feel the sharing.  There is no one whom I will not hear.

In my heart is the love of sharing.  My hope is they pay it forward.  We go on our spiritual journey, taking the time to share where we have been.  All that we are and ever can be is in the sharing.

Time Travel

Time Travel

Since the beginning, modern man has entertained the possibility of time travel.  Since it would create a paradox while others say if we can imagine it we can find a way to do it.  Some say it is impossible.

If you want to travel into the past you have to respect the period with an agreement of non-interference.  Because, as we all know, when you  affect the past you change the future (and this this would be the present).  If you travel into the future you need to respect a non-interference practice so you don’t bring back anything that will change the future.  Any interaction you might exert could change the future because of changes that would take place in the present. And that would have an equally damaging effect on the future's past.  What kind of a future would you be going back too.

So the logic in my mind would show a need to travel in a kind of observation bubble.  Something that would isolate us from whatever time we would be visiting.  We might not be seen by who or what we observe but it would allow us to observe, the future or the past, without the consequences of physically interacting with that part of the time continuum during our visit.  I suppose this would be a good thing regarding that non-interference agreement that we would need to observe.

Another thought crossed my mind regarding Time Travel.  Nothing in the Universe travels in a straight line. A strait line is simply a segment of an arc.  And an arc is just part of a circle.  So if we were able to travel fare enough into the future we would find ourselves approaching the beginning of our past. This brings up a question about travel into the past. Could we travel far enough into the past that we would eventually find ourselves in the future?  And does your head hurt yet?
I suppose what I am getting at is time is not linier. It must move in a circle.  When traveling through space we travel in an arc. However so slight an arc if we could continue far enough we would eventually arrive at our journeys beginning.

As science has taught us you can’t get something from nothing.  And nothing can be destroyed.  It can only be changed.  We have to discover what the cost would be (on many levels) to travel time.

There are other journeys we would take to learn about our universe.  What would be necessary to embark on these exploits would take much more knowledge than we currently possess. It would take a radio transmission many millions of light years to reach our nearest neighboring star.  So how are we going to do it?

A Wonderful Mother

 A Wonderful Mother

The Great Spirit made a wonderful Mother

A Mother that never grows old

He gave her a smile of sunshine

And he gave her a heart of pure gold

In her cheeks he placed fair roses

In her eyes the stars that shine

The Great Spirit made a wonderful Mother

And that wonderful “Mother Earth” is mine
